Vince Young

16 October 2009

hmad Carroll like with his mouth and freakish skills of the players, his football IQ is more on the Vince Young/Akili Smith level, however.  Eric Decker and the Florida defense are too much for Joe.  Cherns by 15.

The Vince Young project with the Tennessee Titans has come to a crossroads, now the only thing to do is decide whether the Titans can still get something positive out of their former number 3 overall pick.

rsquo;s amazing considering that they are doing it with Kerry Collins as their QB.  Good thing Vince Young had some issues at the beginning of the season!

The Eagles and the Bengals played to a tie.  A tie in the NFL is extremely rare, as the last tie came in 2002.  What’s amazing is that Donovan McNabb didn’t know that the game ended after 15 minutes if no team scored!  What’s more amazing, is that after McNabb was told that by a reporter during the post-game press conference, he wondered what would happen if that occurred in a play-off game or the Super Bowl.  Are you kidding me?  A QB who has been in the NFL for 10 years, and counts $9.3M against the Eagles cap, doesn’t know this?  This is absurd!

Yesterday when I read the short article about how Vince Young's mom came out and said he really did not want to play football anymore as he did not like the negative press he got. Now I guess it is time for me to chime in on this one. First Vince got a nice signing bonus and if he did not want to be booed then just retire and hand back the money of course he will not do that. Rookie DE Derrick Harvey picked off a pass for the first time in his career, and the special teams almost came up with a crucial onside kick, which could have changed the outcome of the game had it not been for a penalty on the play.

ft tall, throw a football faster than a speeding bullet, and run faster than a locomotive (See Vince Young and Tavaras Jackson).  But the good, and the great, somwhere along the way"get it." The may or may not put up big numbers. They may throw for 50 touchdowns like Brady and lose the Super Bowl, or they may throw 28 TD's and win it all like, umm, yeah, that guy Brady. Manning's other clone Peyton has similar stats. So numbers: height, arm strength, speed, are about as much a formula for success of a quarterback as a 36-24-36 figure is an indicator of female loyalty. Only one number counts-Wins. (Although, I will say that the untraceable number of interceptions by Joe Montana in the Big Game is one of my personal favorite numbers.) Otherwise, you draft gurus can keep your numbers in the same place as people whose names are numbers(See Chad, your a Zero, Ocho Cinco), in the garbage bin.
