Oklahoma

Did you know the Big 10 has been down for about 12 straight seasons according to the national media (ESPN) and ignorant football fans.. mainly in SEC territory?  So, Ohio State gets railroaded by one of the best teams in the nation yearly since Urban Meyer shows up, and that team features a QB some call "legendary" or the best ever in college history.  Michigan takes it on the chin against what some might call a semi-professional team (only semi because apparently some of the athletes are getting paid.. Reggie Bush?) and suddenly the conference is terrible.  They are slow.  They are mongrols; they can't throw the ball.. they can't stop the spread.

His team loses only one game to Oklahoma but doesn’t get to the Big XII finale. The Red Raiders beat the Texas Longhorns who in turn beat Oklahoma, who beat Texas Tech and the Sooners get in on style points. Hmmmmm... It was not that long ago in 2006, the number two Michigan Wolverines were jumped by the Florida Gators ( number four at the time ) to get into the BCS Championship game instead of having a rematch for the national title between Michigan and Ohio State. The reason Florida got in…style points. They played one more game than did Michigan and got enough style points to leap frog Michigan by running the score up 62-0 on Western Carolina.

So it's final, Florida VS Oklahoma - January 8th at 7PM E on FOX.  Later we'll get into the BCS as it currently stands versus an ever more popular idea of a National Playoff System.  Until then, here is a complete list of all upcoming bowl games:

Oklahoma is a talented team, that cannot be argued but are they better than the team that beat them on a neutral field when they were the Number 1 team? Oklahoma's whooping of Texas Tech can't be overlooked, but is beating up on a perennially so-so team having an amazing year as impressive as beating your hated rival in the biggest game of both school's seasons?  Texas' defeat of

hly ranked football squad like last night’s decapitation of the Texas Tech Red Raiders by the Oklahoma Sooners, and for the benefit of my impending ulcers, I hope I never do again.

They have made victims of highly ranked opponents like Texas and Oklahoma St. and some not so high ranked teams like Massachusetts and Southern Methodist on their way to 10-0.

There are only two enemies left. The fiercest of them comes tonight in the form of the

Texas Tech this week must travel to Norman Oklahoma to take on the Sooners which will not be an easy task. The last two games for the Red Raiders were at home and that sure helps out a lot. Meanwhile Alabama has a SEC championship game with Florida waiting for them. What could be interesting about all this is Boise State and Utah could be the country's only undefeated and not make it. I look for Alabama and Texas Tech to lose somewhere down the line. If we have a bunch of one loss teams than the BCS will have to give a bunch of bad news to a lot of teams. In fact it should be very interesting. I am praying for a lot of one loss teams so eventually we can get rid of the BCS and put in a playoff system.

Well, Oklahoma and Texas made it to the game this year with their respective top 5 rankings intact.  That is rare, as the teams usually choke the week leading up to it in "trap games".  This year's game should be a good matchup of two great passers in Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy.  Both are in the Heisman hunt and should finish the season with some great numbers.  The point of interest for me is not the stellar play of both QBs, but the lack of commentary on these two teams.  The media constantly speaks of what USC needs to do to get back to the title game or which SEC team will be there to face them.  I have news for the stupid media: Get over your East/West coast bias!

MIZ (4-0)
Look for their contest with Oklahoma State next week to rack up over 100 combined points.

1. OU (5-0)
So far, so good. In the understatement of the year, their match-up next weekend with Texas is a must-see. By the way, is anyone in college football playing as well as Sam Bradford? I’d take this kid in a heartbeat over Heisman winner Jason White.

This means that every week we could have a new number one team. Right now Oklahoma and Alabama look like the cream of the crop, but that could change again after next week.

This just goes to
