Nascar

Last year saw the defending champ put together one of the most impressive seasons we've seen in the history of our young league, 12-2 and the title belt.  He wasn't shy about the title either bantering all year long, running his mouth like his lips don't fit.  He wasn't any different this offseason getting more outspoken in emails and trying to stall the league draft for days.  Why?  Because he's the defending league champion and some owners are quietly talking behind his back about how it's quickly gone to his head.  Others outside the league have also noticed the change and have started calling him Lane Kifflin.  Regardless of how others feel about him, he is the champion until January this year and has a chance to repeat.. maybe.

, soccer leagues galore, the WNBA (I giggle everytime), NFL, MLB, college sports, NHL, MMA, tennis, Nascar are all available for wagers.  Thankfully, I have no clue about MMA, tennis, or soccer yet I routinely throw wagers down on them and lose, draining my bank account.  I believe they would call me a degenerate in Vegas.  This is part of the reason I'm sure I have never made it passed the magnificent account total of.... $5.50!  TA DA!  Sweet.  I know.  Guess where I am at after 1 year of this.  .10!  The starting point.  Thanks to the Marlins loss last night or I would have hit a 5 team parlay.  Back to the drawing board.

I personally would love to see Texas Tech meet Bama for the BCS. Trendy offense with all the flash and sparkle. Versus traditional power that prides itself on smash-mouth. The former Seattle Super Sonics just unvield their new name and color scheme today.  I have to say that choice was not shocking and still sucks.  They are now known as the Oklahoma City Thunder.  They will be wearing blue, red, and orange.  I just think the name is boring.  Wow, the Thunder.  Then again, I'm not a big fan of team names that don't end in S.  I feel bad for everyone in Seattle, because they stole your team.  Then they took that team and named them something stupid.

Over the last few years of watching Nascar racing I'm beginning to wonder if they are headed in the right directon. It seems that Nascaris always changing and trying to reinvent themselves and in the process has done nothing but drive fans, sponsors, and even drivers away from the sport. Let's address some of these issues first starting with the drivers who are the backbone of the sport.
