True freshman Mike Brewster continues to give the snaps to true freshman Terrelle Pryor. Brewster may go down as the best center Ohio State has had in a very long time. Nick Mangold has been the best center in the Tressel era. Brewster will end up being better. The connection Tressel is creating by playing Brewster & Pryor together will only help the cohesion of the O-line + the skills of Pryor in the upcoming years.

Other true freshman on the line, tackles Mike Adams and J.B. Shugart may see some playing time as well. What a great class of O-linemen!

The D-line will have to perform big against Wisconsin's huge offensive line. P.J. Hill is no small guy either.

Should be a close, bruising game. OSU hasn't won at Wisconsin since the undefeated 2002 season.

Continue reading "Excellent line play will be necessary to beat the Badgers"

My debut entry to this blog comes hours before the conference game I've been most scared about for months: @ Wisconsin. Now we've started the season, I've begun to fear the Penn State game as well. But a night game...at Madison...all those drunks will be ready to rock. At least the Wisconsin band won't be there. I'm sure that missing the band will cause Wisconsin to forget how to tackle or block.

But I'm even more scared about this game because of the way Wisconsin blew its last game in Ann Arbor. No way they should have lost a game they were dominating like that. Should jsut make them angrier against the Buckeyes.

Wisconsin has continued to be a stinker for Ohio State. Tressel is 2-3 vs. Wisconsin. Ohio State hasn't beaten the Badgers in consecutive meetings since the 1995 & 1996 seasons; both seasons which Ohio State entered the Michigan game undefeated. Since then, Wisconsin has beaten Ohio State 4 of their last 7 meetings.
