My MDA Donation Page is Here! Green Bay Marathon!

Seeing how today is my first day of "training" for the Green Bay Marathon, I thought it would be fitting to announce that my work with MDA is just getting started! The site has been up for awhile, but I wanted to wait for a few weeks before I sent it out for a few different reasons. Mainly, I wanted to make sure that I would have the mental toughness to gut through actually doing this and secondly that my knee would be able to hold up after the injury I suffered through. Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad, but I'll bet it was close.

Lets not get lost on minor details, because I am happy to announce and to post my link from MDA to help raise them money and awareness to fight this terrible disease by running the Green Bay Marathon on May 16, 2010. If you just click right HERE you will be taken to my donation page provided by MDA. There you can see a few different things, including an amazing picture of my blazing speed on the road way at the Green Bay Half-Marathon in 2009. (Don't worry, I plan on changing this to a picture of Kelton and myself. It's a solid picture that I took one day in his photography course while he was taking a test.) More important than that amazing running form, however, is the huge flashing red box that says, "Click Here." Clicking on that will take you to the donation page for MDA and tell you a little about the cost:

$30 for a flu shot.
$80 to fund ONE MINUTE of research
$100 to pay for a Support Group Session
$800 to send one child to MDA Summer Camp
$2000 to fund 25 minutes of research.

$2000 to fund 25 minutes of research. Talk about humbling, my stated goal right now to help support MDA is... $2000. If everything goes well, that is how I will be able to help. Naturally, I hate settling for and meeting goals, I am a winner by day and I completely dominate by night, so I would like to crush that $2000. I cannot, however, do it without you and your help.

So, please, take the time to donate something little now. Or hold off for a month or two, cutting out a dinner at a restaurant, an unnecessary shopping trip, a gallon of ice cream or a blu ray purchase and save it to instead help somebody in the world that needs all the help they can get. By helping me, you will be helping others that might not see the smile on your face when you donate, but you can smile with them knowing they will be able to get a flu shot or they are closer to enjoying an awesome summer camp experience thanks to you.

Please spread the word about "Running For Those Rollin!" Send the link to this blog or to my MDA page to friends, family, neighbors, the newspaper, the radio station, whoever you can think of. I appreciate all the help, and I know others out there struggling through aches and pains will smile knowing that somebody out there cares about them and is willing to help.

Again, any good suggestions for fundraising suggestions will be strongly considered. Help me, help others!
