The Scary Part? We Will Get Better.

The BYU offense, outside of a couple of turnovers, has played to absolute perfection the first couple of weeks. To add insult to opposing defenses injury, BYU's Offense and Defense are just going to get better. Max Hall is a stud junior quarterback and heisman candidate, Harvey UNGA is a sophmore 250 pound running/receiving threat, and Dennis Pitta, a Junior, is arguably the best Tight End in the country. To make matters worse? Austin Collie, the junior #1 recevier, should also be coming back as well as Stud Freshman left tackle Matt Reynolds.

Though the defense is still an enigma, there is no doubt they will get better. Sackmaster Jan Jorgensen should return to anchor the core of BYU's defensive line, as well as Russell Tialavea. The only threat lost at linebacker is Captain David Nixon. He might be replaced by the best Outside Backing Prospect in the country in Manti T'eo from Hawaii. Either way Vic So'oto should return healthy from a potentially season ending foot injury.

Brandon Howard, Brandon Bradley, Scott Johnson and G Pittman all should return to anchor the corner back spots, and though stud David Tafuna may leave, Jordan Pendleton is a capable replacement.

So if worse comes to worse and BYU doesn't make a BCS bowl game this year, look for an early ranking next year coupled with these returning starters to spark BYU to a potential CHAMPIONSHIP run. That may sound crazy, but it's plausible. This only spells trouble for BYU's opponents next year, namely rivals Utah and TCU, and out of conference teams such as Arizona State and Florida State. BYU is set up to compete for a while, and we may see a return of the glory days!
