Vols heading towards beat down between the Hedges !

"Vols heading towards a beat down between the Hedges!"

Ok Dawg FANS ! Georgia vs. Tennessee week ! Saturday October 11, 2008 at 3:30 est. the Georgia Bulldogs (4-1) face off against the Tennessee Vols (2-3).

Although Tennessee’s record may look bad let me be the first to tell you it’s deceiving. This is a threatening team. In case no one remembers the disaster of a game last year in which we lost to the Vols, which arguably cost us a national championship. Every game is important; we can’t look past a game just because a team is 2 and 3. These are the type of games that will hurt us more than any. Another SEC loss this season is going to kill us. We learned the hard way last week that momentum can get away from you very quickly. We have the talent to compete and if we play a whole 4 quarters like we did in the second half of the Bama game, no team in the country would be able to stop us.

Keys to Victory:

One thing is clear A.J. Green in a freshman phenom. Throw the ball in his general area and even Vegas wouldn’t bet against him bringing in the catch.

A strong established running game will open up the defense for A.J. to make huge plays.

Penalties of the freaking penalties. (trying to keep this with user-friendly language. Because I could use a few choice words to explain this section) we cannot…. AGAIN we cannot ! make stupid mistakes. Offsides and roughing the passer are undisciplined and stupid mistakes that should not be made. The Dawgs are among top teams in the NCAA in penalties. Play disciplined and rip the quarterback’s head off when he has the ball. Plain and Simple.

If our O-line can’t protect enough to establish the running game, we need to throw the ball to Knowshon in the flats and short routes and let him do what he does best. Make people miss !

Good news in Bulldawg Nation:

Fullback Brannan Southerland to set to make his return. This guy is a total workhorse. His stats might not show is, however you get near a goal line or need those hard yards you hand it to this guy. He can push a pile. Not only does he run strong to get those critical yards he has very good hands for a fullback and is another great option to a short route out of the backfield. Very few know that he led the Dawgs in scoring in 2006, making him the first fullback to accomplish that feat since 1957.

Moreno vows to play against Tennessee. This is great news after fans were worried when Moreno left the Bama game with a elbow injury. Not a serious injury , but it appeared to hinder Knowshon’s play for a few weeks. After Thursday’s practice Moreno puts out any doubt. “My elbow is good” Knowshon says , “Oh yeah I’ll be there, I’ll be ready to go”.

Other news:

I want to share some concerns I’ve seen while reads some posts about UGA. This moron jrock2890 writes “The problem with GA is this, Richt is just not fully committed 2 football, he puts family, religion and everything else b4 football. Now, here's my question, do fans want their coach 2 b 100 % committed 2 their football team or do u want ur coach 2 b balanced??”

This guy is a complete idiot. I personally love the way Mark Richt leads the Dawgs. He doesn’t put football on the backburner, however he brings Family and Religion into the program. He impacts our player’s lives with more than just football. He upholds higher moral standards than other coach such as Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. Katharyn Richt even supports the bulldogs in a most humble role as handing out water and cleaning up trash on the sideline. If you don’t like the way Richt runs this team go elsewhere and dance with the devil.

In closing we have great fans even after coming out after halftime last week being down 31-0 to Alabama, Our fans still gave the Dawgs a stand ovation and got them back in the game. Lets keep our standards and go whip some Tennessee ASS ! GO DAWGS !
