Penn State in the National Championship will be a travesty. posted on 11/03/2008
The Penn State Nittany Lions have played 3 teams that are over .500 win percentage. There overall opponent records are 35-44. They defeated Oregon State (5-3) in week 2 by 31 points, at home. The same Oregon State team that beat USC (7-1) at home but, by only a touchdown.
The same USC Trojans, that are obviously over ranked every season. The same USC team that lost to Stanford last season at home, but the same team that annihilated Ohio State (7-2) by 32 points at home, a team (OSU) that lost to the Nittany Lions by only 10 points. All of those 10 points were scored in the 4th quarter.
They also defeated Illinois (5-4) in the 4th week of the season, by 14 points. The Illini are 1-3 against teams with winning records, and have cake wins such as Eastern Illinois, Louisiana-Laf., and Michigan.
